Abstract

Ethnomathematics-based LKPD is an innovative tool for learning which in terms of its specifications is integrated with the culture around the students. Ethnomathematics-based LKPD is an effective alternative in increasing students' understanding of building volume material in class VI elementary school because this LKPD can create a new learning atmosphere and meaningful understanding for students. This development research aims to describe the stages in developing ethnomathematics-based LKPD and evaluate the suitability of the media which includes validity, effectiveness and practicality. Development research uses the Research and Development (R&D) type with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) mode. The feasibility of ethnomathematics-based LKPD is based on a material validation test of 84% and a media validation test of 93.3%. The results of the pretest-posttest analysis using the N-Gain calculation obtained a value of 0.70 with an achievement of understanding the material of 82.35%. Furthermore, the results of the student response questionnaire obtained results with a percentage of 91.76%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the ethnomathematics-based LKPD is included in the valid criteria and is suitable for use in learning.
