Pengembangan Media Diorama Bilik Cerita untuk Keterampilan Menulis Cerita Fiksi Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan pada saat menulis cerita fiksi yaitu guru masih monoton dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di kelas dan tidak menggunakan media yang inovatif, sehingga siswa kesulitan mencari idenya untuk menulis dengan baik. Dalam upaya mengatasi permasalahan siswa sulit menulis cerita fiksi, maka peneliti mengembangkan media Diorama Bilik Cerita untuk keterampilan menulis cerita fiksi. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni menghasilkan media Diorama Bilik Cerita untuk keterampilan menulis cerita fiksi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar yang valid, efektif, dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE dengan lima tahapan. Kelayakan media Diorama Bilik Cerita ditinjau dari tiga aspek yakni kevalidan media dan materi yang diperoleh dari lembar hasil validasi ahli, kepraktisan dari hasil angket respon guru dan siswa, serta keefektifan dari hasil pretes dan posttest. Hasil penelitian pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa hasil validasi media mendapat persentase sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat valid, hasil validasi materi mendapat persentase sebesar 95% dengan kategori sangat valid, hasil keefektifan menyatakan nilai gain 0,94 dengan kategori sangat efektif, dan hasil kepraktisan mendapat persentase sebesar 100% dari respon guru dan 100% dari respon siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa media Diorama Bilik Cerita valid, efektif, dan praktis digunakan untuk keterampilan menulis cerita fiksi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems found when writing fiction stories, namely that teachers were still monotonous in carrying out learning in class and did not use innovative media, so students had difficulty finding ideas for writing well. In an effort to overcome the problem of students having difficulty writing fiction stories, the researcher developed the Story Booth Diorama media for fiction story writing skills. The aim of this research is to produce Story Booth Diorama media for fifth grade elementary school students' fiction story writing skills that are valid, effective and practical. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE model with five stages. The feasibility of the Story Booth Diorama media is reviewed from three aspects, namely the validity of the media and material obtained from expert validation results sheets, the practicality of the results of teacher and student response questionnaires, and the effectiveness of the pretest and posttest results. The results of the development research showed that the media validation results got a percentage of 90% in the very valid category, the material validation results got a percentage of 95% in the very valid category, the effectiveness results stated a gain value of 0.94 in the very effective category, and the practicality results got a percentage of 100% of teacher responses and 100% of student responses. Based on the results of this research, it is stated that the Story Booth Diorama media is valid, effective and practical to use for the fiction story writing skills of fifth grade elementary school students.
