Abstract

The interactive learning media "Things in The House" based on Computer Assisted Instruction is one of the efforts to utilize information technology as a means for delivering materials to students. This development research aims to develop interactive learning media in English subject for fourth grade elementary school students on the topic of Unit 5, "Where is My Pencil?". Using the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The use of interactive learning media "Things in The House" in teaching and learning activities has proven to be an effective solution for students to be directly involved and more active, making learning in the classroom enjoyable. This research evaluates the feasibility of interactive learning media "Things in The House" by considering aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. In terms of material validation, the interactive learning media "Things in The House" scored a percentage of 96% with the category "Very Valid". For media validation, the interactive learning media "Things in The House" scored a percentage of 90% with the category "Very Valid". To determine the effectiveness of the learning media, it is determined through pre-test and post-test results calculated using N-Gain with a score of 0.67 falling into the category of "Moderate" student improvement. In terms of practicality, determined through educator and student response questionnaires after using the learning media, it reached values of 95.5% and 90%, both falling into the category of "Very Practical". The implementation of interactive learning media can be easily done as it is in line with the needs of teaching and learning activities in fourth grade elementary school classes, and overall, the interactive learning media "Things in The House" has been proven to be an effective and innovative solution in supporting classroom learning.
