Pengembangan Media Fun Thinkers Book Materi Kekayaan Budaya Indonesia di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
Learning needs to be organized as much as possible and must be carried out creatively and innovatively so that students can later understand the material to achieve the desired learning objectives. However, in reality, learning is still teacher-centered and the media used is very limited. One example is when learning material about Indonesia's cultural wealth, it is important for students to understand that Indonesia has a variety of cultures as well as an effort to prevent the division of the nation. In the implementation of learning carried out by the teacher, the teacher prioritizes oral explanations when teaching material on the wealth of Indonesian culture which is very broad, making students uninterested and bored. Researchers offer solutions by developing visual media fun thinkers book on social studies learning material wealth of Indonesian culture. This study aims to describe the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of fun thinkers book media on the material of Indonesia's cultural wealth in class IV elementary school. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) techniques and the ADDIE model. The research subjects were 36 fourth grade students of SDN Warugunung 1 Surabaya. The research data collection instruments were validation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis technique used validity analysis, effectiveness analysis, and practicality analysis. The results showed validity from material experts of 92.72% and media experts 86.66% very valid category. Effectiveness based on the results of pre and post tests in terms of learning completeness of 88.89% very good category and learning improvement through N-Gain of 0.76 high category. Practicality from student response questionnaires amounted to 96.06% very practical category. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the fun thinkers book media on the material of Indonesia's cultural wealth is suitable for use in learning.
