INFLUENCE OF PUZZLE MEDIA ON THE SKILL OF WRITING SYLLABLES IN CLASS I PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Abstract
Students may learn how to write from a syllable into a word by using syllable puzzle media. This medium aids children in overcoming challenges related to letter memory. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how grade I primary school children' writing skills are affected by puzzle learning materials. Quasi-experimental research using a Non-equivalent Control Group design is the methodology used in this kind of study. A pre-test and a post-test are used for assessment. The average value of the paired sample pretest t test for the experimental class is 44.13, whereas for the control class it is 43.27, according to the research test findings. The experimental class scored 79.77 on the posttest, whereas the control class scored 44.4 on average. For both the control and experimental classes, an independent sample t test result was obtained of 15.3679. At a significance level of 5%, the computed t_value is compared to the t_table of 2.074. The posttest results for the two samples show a significant difference, which indicates that the Syllable Puzzle media has an impact on writing abilities in class I at Kebraon 2 State Elementary School, Surabaya.
