Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of fourth grade students of UPT SDN 68 Gresik towards local culture through the media of the Local Culture Storybook Malam Selawe. This study uses a research method (R&D) with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of the study included 28 field trial students. The validation results showed that this media was "Very Valid" with a media expert score of 93% and a material expert score of 90%. The practicality assessment in this study showed the results of "Very Practical". In the field trial, the students gave a score of 1175 (83%). The effectiveness of the media was proven by the field test, pretest 42% to posttest 89%. The average N-Gain of 0.59 (field trial) indicated a high increase in understanding.
