Review Policy

Jurnal Tata Rias implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the scholarly publications. In this system, both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process.

Review Process:

  1. Initial Screening
Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal Tata Rias is first evaluated by the editorial team to determine whether it fits the journal’s scope and meets the basic submission requirements (e.g., formatting, plagiarism screening, language quality).

  2. Double-Blind Peer Review
If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

    • Authors' identities are not revealed to the reviewers.

    • Reviewers’ identities are not disclosed to the authors.

  3. Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

    • Relevance and originality of the topic

    • Clarity of objectives and research questions

    • Methodological rigor

    • Accuracy of data and analysis

    • Quality of discussion and conclusion

    • Proper referencing and adherence to ethical standards

  4. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may decide to:

    • Accept the manuscript without revision

    • Request minor or major revisions

    • Reject the manuscript

  5. Revision and Re-review
In case of revisions, authors are expected to submit the revised manuscript within a specified time. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the same reviewers for further evaluation.

  6. Final Decision
The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript lies with the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewers' feedback and editorial considerations.

Reviewer Ethics

All reviewers are required to maintain confidentiality, declare any potential conflict of interest, and provide objective, constructive feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.
