PENGARUH PERBANDINGAN EKSTRAK BIJI LABU KUNING DAN EKSTRAK KULIT MANGGIS TERHADAP HASIL JADI HAND BODY LOTION

Abstract

Abstrak: Hand and body lotion diformulasikan untuk melindungi kelembaban kulit, mempertahankan kadar air dalam kulit sehingga kelembaban dan kesehatan kulit tetap terjaga. Kandungan ekstrak biji labu kuning bermanfaat untuk menjaga kesehatan kulit. Sedangkan xanthone yang terkandung pada ekstrak kulit manggis merupakan sumber antioksidan yang bermanfaat untuk kulit. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan ekstrak biji labu kuning dan ekstrak kulit manggis terhadap hasil jadi hand and body lotion yang meliputi tekstur, kekentalan, daya serap dan kesukaan serta masa simpan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah perbandingan ekstrak biji labu kuning dengan ekstrak kulit manggis yang terdiri dari perbandingan 30:0, 20:10, 15:15, 10:20, dan 0:30. Variabel terikat adalah sifat organoleptik yang meliputi tekstur, kekentalan, daya serap pada kulit, kesukaan dan masa simpan hand and body lotion terbaik. Pengumpulan data dengan metode observasi yang dilakukan oleh 30 panelis dan uji mikrobiologi untuk mengetahui masa simpan. Data dianalisis menggunakan anava tunggal dengan bantuan program SPSS dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh perbandingan ekstrak biji labu kuning dan ekstrak kulit manggis terhadap hasil jadi hand and body lotion. Perbandingan ekstrak biji labu kuning dan ekstrak kulit manggis dengan komposisi 10:20 menghasilkan tekstur sangat halus dengan skor 3,70. Perbandingan 10 gram ekstrak biji labu kuning dan 20 gram ekstrak kulit manggis menghasilkan hand and body lotion yang agak kental dengan skor 3,87. Daya serap terbaik pada perbandingan 10 gram biji labu kuning dan 20 gram kulit manggis dengan skor 3,77. Hasil jadi hand and body lotion yang memperoleh kesukaan terbaik yakni pada perbandingan 10:20 dengan skor 3,70. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji mikroba pada hasil jadi hand and body lotion terbaik memiliki masa simpan hingga 6,5 minggu dengan suhu penyimpanan 28⁰C atau pada suhu ruangan.

       Abstract: Hand and body lotion is formulated to protect skin moisture, retain moisture in the skin so that moisture and maintain skin health. The content of pumpkin seed extract is beneficial for maintaining healthy skin. While xanthones contained in mangosteen peel extract is a source of antioxidants that are beneficial for the skin. The purpose of this study to determine the effect comparison pumpkin seed extract and extract of mangosteen peel on the results so hand and body lotion that includes texture, viscosity, absorption and preferences as well as shelf life. This research is experimental. The independent variable in this study is a comparison of pumpkin seed extract with mangosteen peel extract which consists of a comparison of 30: 0, 20:10, 15:15, 10:20, and 0:30. The dependent variable is the organoleptic properties include texture, viscosity, absorption in the skin, preferences and shelf life of hand and body lotion best. The collection of data by the method of observations made by 30 panelists and microbiological tests to determine the shelf life. Data were analyzed using one way ANOVA with SPSS followed by Duncan test. The result of this study is that there is the influence of comparison pumpkin seed extract and extract of mangosteen peel on the results so hand and body lotion. Comparison of pumpkin seed extract and extract of mangosteen peel with a 10:20 composition produces a very smooth texture with a score of 3.70. Comparison of 10 grams of pumpkin seed extract and 20 grams of mangosteen peel extract produces hand and body lotion that is rather thick with a score of 3.87. Best absorptive capacity in comparison pumpkin seeds 10 grams and 20 grams of mangosteen peel with a score of 3.77. Results so hand and body lotion that obtain the best joy in 10:20 ratio with a score of 3.70. Based on calculations of microbial test results so the best hand and body lotion has a shelf life
