PENGARUH JUMLAH EKSTRAK BUNGA ROSELLA (HIBICUS SABDARIFFA LYNN) SEBAGAI BAHAN PEWARNA TERHADAP HASIL ORGANOLEPTIK LIPSTICK

Abstract

Abstrak: Lipstick merupakan produk kosmetik yang berfungsi sebagai pelembab dan pewarna bibir agar terlihat lebih menarik, Lipstick dibuat  dengan tambahan ekstrak bunga rosella sebagai bahan pewarna alami lipstick. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ektrak bunga rosella terhadap hasil organoleptik lipstick yang meliputi warna, aroma dan daya lekat.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah ekstrak bunga rosella sebagai bahan pewarna alami lipstick dengan proporsi ekstrak 27 gram (L1), 32 gram (L2) dan 37 gram (L3). Variabel terikat adalah sifat organoleptik lipstick yang meliputi warna, aroma dan daya lekat. Pengumpulan data dengan metode observasi dilakukan oleh 30 orang panelis, data di analisis menggunakan manova dengan bantuan SPSS versi 20.  Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penambahan ekstrak bunga rosella sebagai bahan pewarna, terhadap hasil jadi lipstick yang meliputi warna, aroma dan daya lekat. dari keseluruhan hasil uji organoleptik meliputi warna, aroma, daya lekat dan tingkat kesukaan panelis mempunyai nilai tertinggi pada lipstick dengan penambahan ekstrak bunga rosella 37 gram (L1) karena berwarna merah, beraoma strawberry sangat kuat dan mempunyai daya lekat yang dirasa lekat

Abstract: Lipstick is a cosmetic product which used as moisturizer and lips coloring in order to look interesting. Lipstick made with addition of rosella flower extract as natural tint material of lipstick. The aims of this research are to know the effect of rosella flower extract addition toward the organoleptic result of lipstick including color, aroma, and adhesiveness. Type of this research is experimental. The independent variable in this research is number of rosella flower extract as natural lipstick tint with proportion 27 gram (L1), 32 gram (L2), and 37 gram (L3). The dependent variable is the organoleptic characteristic of lipstick including color, aroma, and adhesiveness. Data collected with observation method conducted by 30 panelists. Data analyzed using anova with the help of SPSS program version 20. From result of the research could be concluded that there are effect of rosella flower extract addition as tint material toward lipstick product including color, aroma, and adhesiveness. From the whole organoleptic test result including color, aroma, adhesiveness, and preference of panelists has highest score on lipstick with addition rosella flower extract 37 gram (L1), because has red color, very strong strawberry aroma and has good adhesiveness.
