PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN EKSTRAK RIMPANG KENCUR PADA TEPUNG BERAS TERHADAP SIFAT FISIK KOSMETIK LULUR TRADISIONAL

Abstract

Abstrak: Ekstrak rimpang kencur dan tepung beras merupakan bahan yang digunakan untuk membuat kosmetik lulur tradisional. Kosmetik lulur berfungsi untuk mengangkat sel kulit mati, mencerahkan kulit serta menghaluskan kulit dan mencegah penuaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui hasil jadi lulur tradisional yang dilihat dari aroma, warna, tekstur, dan daya lekat. (2) mengetahui hasil jadi lulur tradisional yang paling disukai dari sifat fisik kosmetik tradisional. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan penambahan ekstrak rimpang kencur pada tepung beras dengan perbandingan (6g:50g), (4g:50g), dan (2g:50g). penelitian ini memiliki tiga variabel yaitu: (1) Variabel bebas yaitu jumlah penambahan ekstrak rimpang kencur. (2) Variabel terikat yaitu sifat fisik lulur tradisional yang dilihat dari aroma, warna, tekstur, daya lekat, dan tingkat kesukaan panelis. (3) Variabel kontrol yaitu waktu proses pembuatan lulur tradisional, peralatan yang digunakan pada pembuatan lulur tradisional harus dalam keadaan bersih, baik dan tidak rusak, penggunaan tepung beras dengan komposisi yang sama rata 50g dan penambahan air 40 ml. Berdasarkan hasil uji anova tunggal, terdapat pengaruh penambahan ekstrak rimpang kencur pada tepung beras terhadap sifat fisik kosmetik lulur tradisional dilihat dari aroma, warna, tekstur, dan kesukaan panelis,  namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap sifat fisik daya lekat. Hasil kosmetik lulur tradisional yang disukai oleh panelis terdapat pada X₂ (4g : 50g) dengan kriteria beraroma kencur cukup tajam, berwarna kuning muda, tekstur cukup kasar, dan cukup lekat dikulit.

Abstract: Rhizome extract kencur and rice flour the materials used to make traditional herbal cosmetic. Traditional scrubs cosmetics serves to remove dead skin cells , brighten the skin and smoothes the skin and prevent aging . This research aims to 1 ) know the results so traditional scrubs on the physical properties cosmetics are seen from the aroma , color , texture , and adhesion . 2 ) know the results so traditional srubs most preferred of the physical properties of traditional cosmetics . This study is an experimental research with the addition kencur rhizome extract on rice flour with comparison ( 6g:50g ) , ( 4g:50g ) , and ( 2g:50g ) . This study has three variables: (1) The independent variable is the number of additional rhizome extract kencur. (2) The dependent variable is the physical nature of traditional scrubs seen from the aroma , color , texture , adhesion , and the level of preference panel . (3) The Control variables that time the process of making traditional scrubs , equipment used in the manufacture of traditional scrubs must be clean , good and not damaged , use rice flour with the same average composition 50g and the addition of 40ml water. Based on the results of a single ANOVA test , there are significant additions rhizome extract kencur on rice flour to the physical properties of traditional scrubs cosmetics views of aroma , color , texture , and a panelist, But there is no effect on the physical properties of adhesion . The results of traditional scrubs cosmetics favored by the panelists found in X2 ( 4g : 50g ) the criteria scented sharp , bright yellow , the texture is quite rough ,and quite sticky skin.
