PENGARUH LIGHT MODIFIER PADA BEAUTY PHOTOGRAPHY UNTUK TATA RIAS KOREKTIF WAJAH BULAT

Abstract

Abstrak: Light modifier merupakan komposisi penting untuk menciptakan beauty photography yang maksimal. Beauty dish adalah light modifier yang dibuat khusus untuk beauty photography. Namun sayangnya, sampel purposif pada fotografer dan studio foto menunjukkan kepemilikan alat tersebut sangat minim. Light modifier lain yang banyak dimiliki fotografer dan studio foto di Surabaya adalah standard diffuser dan softbox. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dari ketiga light modifier tersebut, manakah yang memberi hasil paling optimal dan memenuhi prinsip-prinsip beauty photography. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen murni. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi melalui lembar observasi dengan bentuan panelis sebanyak 30 orang yang terdiri dari 3 dosen,  12 orang fotografer dan 15 orang mahasiswa tata rias yang telah menempuh mata kuliah tata rias wajah dengan nilai minimal B. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah anova tunggal menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 16 dengan taraf signifikan 5% (P<0,05).  Hasil penelitian diperoleh data pengaruh tiga jenis light modifier berbeda pada satu objek beauty photography meliputi beberapa aspek. Pertama pada aspek hasil kejelasan dan gradasi shading tata rias korektif terbaik adalah pada hasil beauty photography menggunakan standard diffuser dengan nilai tertinggi 3,50. Kedua pada aspek pencahayaan lembut mencapai nilai rata-rata 3,60 yaitu yang menggunakan light modifier berupa softbox. Ketiga pada aspek dominan terang terbaik adalah pada hasil beauty photography menggunakan standard diffuser dengan nilai tertinggi 3,70. Keempatada aspek bayangan halus mencapai nilai rata-rata tertinggi sebesar 3,63 yaitu yang menggunakan light modifier berupa softbox. Selanjutnya pada aspek  warna dan detail alami terbaik adalah pada hasil beauty photography menggunakan standard diffuser dengan nilai tertinggi 3,67. Terakhir pada aspek kesukaan panelis, nilai nilai rata-rata tertinggi sebesar 3,57 yaitu yang menggunakan light modifier berupa standard diffuser. Dari keenam aspek tersebut, yang paling sering muncul sebagai nilai tertinggi adalah beauty photography yang menggunakan light modifier berupa standard diffuser sebanyak empat kali.

Abstract: Light modifier is an important composition to make a great beauty photography. Beauty dish is light modifier that specially made for beauty photography. But fortunately, purposive sample for photographer and photo studio show ownership of such tools is minimal. Other light modifier that many owned by photographer and photo studio at Surabaya are standard diffuser and softbox. The purpose of this research is to know which is the best result of beauty photography that use those three light modifiers, and which is gives the most optimal results and conform the principles of beauty photography. This research is belong to pure experiment research. Data accumulation method that used is observation through  observation sheet with  assist from 30 people consist of 3 lecturer,  12 photographer and 15 college students who passed subjects fundamental makeup art and computer application with the lowest grade B. Analysis data techniques that used is one way anova from SPSS application version 16 with level of significance 5% (P<0,05). The results obtained data the effect from three kinds of different light modifier for one beauty photography object that consist of some aspects. First, for aspect the best result of shade’s clarity and gradation corrective makeup is the beauty photography that use standard diffuser with highest score 3,50. Second, for aspect the best soft lighting reach highest score 3,60 that is use softbox light modifier. Third, for aspect the best brightness dominant is beauty photography that use standard diffuser with highest score 3,70. Fourth for aspect the most soft shadow reach highest score 3,63 which is beauty photography that use softbox light modifier. Furthermore, for aspect the best natural colour and detail is beauty photography that use standard diffuser with highest score 3,67. The last one for aspect observer’s favourite, reach highest score 3,57 which is beauty photography that use standard diffuser. From that six aspects assesment, the most often appear result as the highest score is beauty photography that use standard diffuser as light modifier four times.
