PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN SARI BELIMBING WULUH TERHADAP SIFAT FISIK SEDIAAN SABUN WAJAH BERBENTUK CAIR

Abstract

Abstrak: Sabun wajah berbentuk cair merupakan salah satu jenis kosmetik perawatan kulit. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan sari belimbing wuluh terhadap sifat fisik sabun wajah cair yang meliputi aroma, warna, homogenitas, pH, dan bobot jenis. serta uji mikrobiologi.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah sari belimbing wuluh dengan variasi 5 gram, 10 gram, dan 15 gram.  Variabel terikat, yaitu sifat fisik sabun wajah cair meliputi aroma, warna, homogenitas pH, dan bobot jenis. serta uji mikrobiologi. Pengumpulan data digunakan metode observasi melalui pengamatan sifat fisik yang dilakukan oleh 30 panelis, serta diuji mikrobiologi, hasil uji sifat fisik dianalisis menggunakan uji anava tunggal dengan bantuan program SPSS 16, yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh penambahan sari belimbing wuluh terhadap aroma produk S5 lebih baik daripada produk S10 dan S15 sehingga menghasilkan aroma khas jeruk nipis tajam, warna produk S10 dan S15 lebih baik daripada S5 sehingga menghasilkan warna lebih kekuningan, homogenitas produk S5 lebih baik daripada produk S10 dan S15 sehingga menghasilkan produk yang homogen, semakin banyak penambahan sari belimbing wuluh menghasilkan pH semakin asam, dan bobot jenisnya tetap. Sabun wajah cair dengan penambahan 5 gram, 10 gram, dan 15 gram sari belimbing wuluh aman  untuk digunakan meskipun terdapat mikroba yang masih dibawah batas standar SNI (105 koloni).

Abstract: Liquid facial soap is one of kind skin care cosmetic. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of wuluh starfruit (avverhoa bilimbi) extract on the physical properties of liquid facial soap which includes smell, color, homogenity, pH, and specific gravity and microbiological testing. This research   is an experimental research. The independent variable in this research is amount of wuluh starfruit extract with variation of 5 grams , 10 grams and 15 grams. The dependent variable is physical of liquid facial soap onto smell, color, homogeneity, pH, and specific gravity, and microbiological testing . The method of observation and data collection of physical properties has been done by 30 panelists, and the tested of microbiological. The research of the physical properties test were analyzed using a single anova test with SPSS 16, if there is a differences in the effect, then continued with Duncan's test . The results of this study is that there is the effect of adding to the wuluh starfruit smell S5 product is better than the S10 and S15 to produce sharp smell of lemon, S10 and S15 product color better than the S5 so as to produce a more yellowish color, S5 product homogeneity is better than S10 and S15 products so as to produce a homogeneous product, the more the addition of starfruit juice produce a more acidic pH, and its specific gravity remains.. Liquid facial soap with the quantity of 5 grams, 10 grams, and 15 grams of belimbing wuluh extract is safe to use even though there are microbes that are still below the limit of ISO standard ( 105 colonies ).
