Author Guidelines
Language Horizon: Journal of Language Studies publishes high-quality original research articles that explore a broad range of topics related to language and communication, with a particular focus on linguistics and discourse analysis. We are committed to providing a rigorous and efficient review process for all submissions.
Before you submit your manuscript, please carefully review the following guidelines:
Manuscript Preparation
- Language: All manuscripts must be submitted in clear and concise English. American or British English is acceptable, as long as consistency is maintained throughout the manuscript.
- Length: Manuscripts should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
- Abstract and Keywords: Include a concise and informative abstract of no more than 250 words that summarizes the key points of your research. Additionally, provide 4-6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of your manuscript.
- Formatting: Use a standard 12-point font (e.g., Times New Roman) with double line spacing. Number all pages consecutively. Margins should be set to 1 inch on all sides.
- Structure: Organize your manuscript following the IMRAD (Introduction, Methodology, Results, Analysis, Discussion) structure.
- Citations and References: Follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style guide (7th edition) for in-text citations and references. Ensure all references cited in the text are included in the reference list, and vice versa.
- Tables and Figures: Include tables and figures within the text, but number them consecutively with captions that clearly explain their content.
Submission Process
- Register or Login: Create an account on the Language Horizon website ([link to submission platform]).
- Submission Platform: Upload your manuscript file (.doc or .docx format) through the online submission platform.
- Supplementary Files: Include any additional files, such as appendices or raw data, as separate files.
Review Process
- All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process by qualified scholars in the relevant field.

- Language Horizon utilizes plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a high degree (more than 15%) of plagiarism will be rejected.
