Abstract

In the process of teaching and learning there is lot of aspect need to be noticed in order to make learning
and teaching process going well and efficient and one of the aspects is the teaching materials. Teaching
materials was one of component that used by educator to achieve an efficient and effective learning. The
revised edition of Deutsch Ist Einfach book for XII grade is one of many book that chosen as learning
material in some of the school that teaching German language. This revised edition of Deutsch is einfach
was published in 2006 by Tiga Serangkai with total 248 page. One of sub theme inside the book is
Freizeitbeschäftigung were given to the XII graders in 1st semester therefore will be discussed in this article.
The method used in this research use descriptive qualitative approaches with documentation techniques for
data collection. The object to be analyzed were writing skills materials that included exercises in filling
sentences, writing practice sentences, conversation text writing exercises as well as the practice of matching
the right words used in describing an image. The material derived from the sub-theme Freizeitbeschäftigung
contained in the book Deutsch ist einfach für SMA Klasse XII revised edition. The source of the data in this
scientific article is the book Deutsch ist einfach für SMA Klasse XII. The source of the data in this scientific
article is the book Deutsch ist einfach für SMA Klasse XII. The data in this scientific article is collected
from writing teaching materials, which include exercises in filling sentences, writing practice sentences,
conversation text writing exercises as well as the practice of matching the right words used in describing an
image. It was further analyzed using the 2013 curriculum of Freizeitbeschäftigung materials and syllabus
for writing skills. The data obtained in the writing of this article is analyzed descriptively using Masnur
Muslich's theory of the feasibility of teaching materials that seen in terms of content feasibility. the analysis
is done through the stages of determining the material, grouping the material, the classification of materials
as material for the preparation of assessment instruments, as well as the stage of describing the level of
feasibility of teaching materials. The problem formulation in this article is how the feasibility analysis of
the contents of the book Deutsch ist einfach revised edition for class XII material sub-theme
Freizeitbeschäftigung. This article has the purpose to describe the results of the feasibility analysis of the
contents of the teaching materials books Deutsch ist einfach revised edition for class XII semester 1 for
writing skills in terms of the feasibility of the contents of the teaching materials. The results of the analysis
of this study showed that descriptively the contents of the book Deutsch ist einfach revised edition for class
XII sub-theme Freizeitbeschäftigung has been very in accordance with the criteria of eligibility of the
contents of teaching materials : (1) the suitability of the description of the material with the standards of
competence (SK) and basic competence (KD) that is contained in the curriculum of subjects concerned; (2)
the accuracy of the material; and (3) the material of the supporting learning with the acquisition of the score
of the feasibility of the content of 96
