Abstract

Along with the development of technology and information in the 4.0 era, language learning is increasingly creative and
innovative. This is marked by the emergence of various learning media such as online applications that can support the
quality of learning and attract students' interest. In accordance with the 2013 curriculum, German is one of the foreign
language subjects in Senior High Schools, Vocational High Schools, and Madrasah Aliyah. Listening skills are
important skills to be learned by students in learning German. Based on the above, this study aims to describe German
teaching materials for class X students in semester 1 who use the Memrise application in accordance with the 2013
curriculum with the formulation of the problem, namely whether the material in the Memrise application is in
accordance with learning German in the 2013 curriculum for high school students' listening skills. End of class X
semester I. This research is a type of qualitative research with a documentation method. The data used comes from the
Memrise German learning application. Data collection focuses on listening skills and simple dialogues found in the
Memrise German learning application. After that, the data from the application was analyzed based on the German
material description map for class X semester 1 of the 2013 curriculum, including the suitability of the material on the
description map with the material in the Memrise application. The results of the research that there are 3 levels in
Memrise that can be used as material for learning the Grueßen theme
