Focus and Scope

MATHEdunesa is a scientific journal of mathematics education published by the Mathematics Department of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Universitas Negeri Surabaya. MATHEdunesa accepts and publishes research articles  in the field of Education, which includes:

Peer Review Process

All submissions to this journal must adhere to its Focus, Scope, and Author Guidelines. The submitted manuscripts must demonstrate scientific excellence or novelty consistent with the journal's emphasis and scope. 

All manuscripts that are submitted must be original works. It is advised that all authors perform similarity checks using plagiarism detection software (please use Turnitin or iThenticate to check the similarity). The similarity of the manuscripts submitted to this journal will also be checked by the editors using the Turnitin or iThenticate tools. 

The publications submitted to this journal will undergo peer review by two or more experts from the Reviewer Acknowledgement. The reviewers provide useful scientific suggestions improving the contents of the manuscript.

The final decision of acceptance of the manuscript is made solely by the Editor in Chief (along with the Editorial Board if required for consideration) according to reviewers’ critical comments. Publication of accepted articles including the assignment of the article to published issue will be made by the Editor in Chief by considering xeveral consideration.

Journal History

MATHEdunesa is a scientific journal of mathematics education published by the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Surabaya State University. This journal has been published online since 2012 using the previous OJS (OJS 2). It is published every four months, with each volume consisting of three issues. On 23 December 2020, MATHEdunesa was accredited as SINTA 4 up to volume 12, issue 2, 2023, and the article template in MATHEdunesa was updated to a new version starting from volume 12, issue 1. As part of its ongoing quality improvement efforts, since 3 April 2024, MATHEdunesa has successfully upgraded its accreditation status to SINTA 3. This latest accreditation is valid for the next five years, until 2027. All of workflow and publication process are centered in OJS 3 with this link: MATHEdunesa.
