PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI ARITMETIKA SOSIAL DI KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 1 KEMLAGI MOJOKERTO

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika.
Salah satu faktor penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar adalah pembelajaran di kelas yang kurang inovatif.
Oleh sebab itu guru perlu memilih model pembelajaran yang tepat dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar
siswa. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat dipilih adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe
Numbered Heads Together. Numbered Heads Together merupakan variasi dari diskusi kelompok dan
memiliki ciri khas dimana guru hanya menunjuk seorang siswa untuk mewakili kelompoknya tanpa
memberitahu terlebih dahulu siapa yang akan mewakili kelompok tersebut.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengelolaan pembelajaran dan hasil belajar
siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered
Heads Together. Serta mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads
Together terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi aritmetika sosial di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kemlagi
Mojokerto.
Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian true eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa
kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kemlagi Mojokerto tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan
teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Sampel yang terpilih yaitu kelas VII-D sebagai kelas kontrol,
pembelajaran menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdapat di SMP Negeri 1 Kemlagi Mojokerto,
dan kelas VII-E sebagai kelas eksperimen, pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif
Numbered Heads Together. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar tes hasil belajar siswa dan lembar
pengamatan pengelolaan pembelajaran. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode tes dan
metode observasi.
Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, diperoleh rata-rata skor pengamatan pengelolaan pembelajaran
selama tiga kali pertemuan adalah 3,63 termasuk kategori sangat baik. Rata-rata nilai tes hasil belajar
siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 79,5 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 72,75. Terdapat 23 siswa dari 32 siswa di
kelas eksperimen yang hasil belajarnya dinyatakan memenuhi nilai KKM yang ditetapkan sekolah. Dari
perhitungan dengan menggunakan uji t diperoleh yaitu , sehingga
ditolak atau diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered
Heads Together berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi aritmetika sosial di kelas VII
SMP Negeri 1 Kemlagi Mojokerto.

Abstract
The reason of the study being conduct is that because of the bad result of the students learning in
Mathematics. Less inovating teaching learning process is believed as one of the main factors, so that it is
important for the teacher to choose appropriate learning model that can increasing the students result in
learning arithmetic. One of the learning models that can be choose is cooperative model namely
Numbered Heads Together. Numbered Heads Together is a variation of group discussion which has
special criteria in which the teacher only need to appoint a student as the representative of the group
spontantly.
The purpose of this study is to describe the learning management and the result of students learning
after the cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together being implemented. This study is also
aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together toward the students
learning result on the social arithmetic for VII graders in SMP Negeri 1 Kemlagi Mojokerto.
This research belongs to true experimental research. The populations used in this research are the 7
graders in SMP Negeri 1 Kemlagi Mojokerto 2016/2017 academic year. Using Cluster Random Sampling
this research get VII-D as control class, the learning process using the lesson plan provide by SMP Negeri
1 Kemlagi Mojokerto and VII-E as experimental class, the learning process using cooperative learning
model Numbered Heads Together. The instruments used in this research are students’ test result and
observation sheet. The data collection methodology being used is testing and observation.

"> According to the result of this study, the mean for the 3 meetings is 3,63 which is belong to the
excellent criteria. The mean for the experimental class is 79,5 and for the control class is 72,75. There are
23 students from 32 students in the experimental class whose learning result are stated to meet the KKM
value established by the school. From the calculation using t test, determine that or
, it means was rejected or was accepted. So that it can be concluded, that cooperative
learning type Numbered Heads Together give positive effect on students’ learning result in social
arithmetic for the seven graders in SMP Negeri 1 Kemlagi Mojokerto.
