KONSTRUKSI ORANG DENGAN HIV&AIDS (ODHA) TENTANG PENYAKIT HIV&AIDS DI KELOMPOK DUKUNGAN SEBAYA JOMBANG CARE CENTER KABUPATEN JOMBANG

Acruired Immune Deficiency Syndrom atau yang biasa dikenal dengan AIDS merupakan elaborasi dari gejala penyakit yang disebabkan oleh retrovirus atau yang biasa dikenal dengan HIV (Human Immunodefiency Virus). Sampai saat ini penyakit dan penderitanya dekat dengan stigma negatif oleh banyak masyarakat di dunia, khususnya di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konstruksi sosial penyakit HIV&AIDS dari sudut pandang orang yang menderita penyakit tersebut. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi Peter L Berger. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jombang Care Center, yaitu salah satu lembaga yang menaungi orang dengan HIV&AIDS atau biasa disebut ODHA diseluruh Kabupaten Jombang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi tentang penyakit HIV&AIDS yang terbangun pada diri ODHA saat ini secara umum positif, meskipun pada awalnya semua ODHA tidak bisa menerima kenyataan telah mengidap penyakit tersebut.

 Abstract

Acruired immune deficiency syndrom or commonly known with HIV&AIDS is an elaboration of symptoms of the disease caused by a retrovirus or commonly known with HIV (Human Immunodefiency Virus) .Until now HIV & AIDS have negative connotation in the view of the people, especially for the people of indonesia. This research aims to understand social construction of HIV & AIDS disease from the perspective of people who suffer from this disease. As for the methodology that was used was a qualitative methodology by adopting phenomenology of Peter L. Berger .The study is done in Jombang Care Center, that is one of the living who handle a person with HIV & AIDS or known ODHA. This research result indicates that construction about diseases HIV & AIDS who awakes on the self living the most people who suffering these disease were currently positive, despite at the first ODHA can not accept the fact that they had  been   ill.
