APARATUS IDEOLOGIS MEDIA DAN LEGALISASI GANJA KOMUNITAS LINGKAR GANJA NUSANTARA

Abstract

Lingkar Ganja Nusantara (LGN) is a social group that has a cannabis legalization project in Indonesia. LGN's marijuana legalization project is in conflict with the state's anti-cannabis ideology. The form of the marijuana legalization project carried out by LGN is in the form of campaign actions and demonstrations by community members. Periodically, the movement has transformed into a movement that uses basic media. The LGN marijuana legalization ideological movement is growing rapidly as indicated by the increase in the number of LGN followers on social media. This study discusses the ideology of legalizing the LGN marijuana community based in Jakarta through the power of the ideological apparatus that drives their network community. Because the LGN community's marijuana legalization ideology is specific, unique, and critical, a qualitative research on this issue uses the case study method. The results showed that LGN's marijuana legalization ideology has succeeded in forming an imaginary relationship between community members and their new support base. This imaginative relationship is formed because of the power of the ideological apparatus of the media, both mass media and social media.
