Post-Publication Discussion
Readers who wish to comment on or discuss a published article may contact the Editorial Office through the journal's official email or online communication channels. Comments should be relevant to the published article, offer a clear and substantive academic contribution, be grounded in evidence and scholarly reasoning, maintain a respectful and professional tone, and avoid personal attacks, defamatory statements, or inappropriate language.
Where appropriate, the authors of the original article may be invited to respond to substantive comments or concerns. Authors are encouraged to provide a clear, evidence-based, and constructive response. The journal may, where appropriate, publish the original comment alongside the author's response as part of the post-publication scholarly record.
If post-publication discussion uncovers a potential error, omission, ethical concern, or other issue that may affect the integrity of a published article, the Editorial Team will assess the matter in line with the journal's publication-ethics policies. Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, JUPE may publish a Correction, an Expression of Concern, or a Retraction, as appropriate. Post-publication discussion does not replace the journal's formal procedures for handling allegations of research misconduct.
