Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa SMP Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Open Ended Ditinjau Dari Kemampuan Matematika

Untuk mengetahui cara berpikir kreatif siswa, seorang guru bisa melihat kemampuan itu dengan memberikan soal-soal open ended. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan openended ditinjau dari kemampuan matematika.Penelitian merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun subjek penelitian ini diambil dari SMPN 28 Surabaya yang terdiri dari tiga siswa dari kelas VIII F. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu metode tes yang terdiri dari tes kemampuan matematika dan tes soal open ended serta metode wawancara. Analisis data mengunakan indikator berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan, fleksibilitas, dan kebaruan. Adapun penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kefasihan siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi adalah siswa dapat menemukan berbagai macam jawaban pada soal open endeddengan benar, fleksibilitas siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi adalah siswa dapat menemukan berbagai macam penyelesaian dengan benar, dan kebaruan siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi adalah siswa dapat menemukan penyelesaian lain dengan menemukan luas dan mencari tinggi dari bangun yang diketahui. Kefasihan siswa berkemampuan matematika sedang adalah siswa dapat menemukan berbagai macam jawaban pada soal open endeddengan benar, fleksibilitas siswa berkemampuan matematika sedang adalah serta siswa dapat menemukan berbagai penyelesaian dengan benar. Kefasihan siswa berkemampuan matematika rendah adalah siswa dapat menemukan berbagai jawaban pada soal open endeddengan benar, serta fleksibilitas siswa berkemampuan matematika rendah adalah siswa dapat menemukan berbagai macam cara yang berbeda dengan benar.

Abstract

To know how creative a student think, a teachers can see that ability by giving students open ended questions. The goal of this research is to describe the abilities ofthe junior high school students tothink creatively in order to solve an open ended questions which observed from their mathematics abilities.This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research was taken from SMPN 28 Surabaya which consisted of three students from VIII F class. Method thatwas being used to collect the data was test methods which consisted of mathematics abilities test and open ended questions test, lastly the interview method. Data analysis was using creative thinking as the indicator which are fluency,flexibility and novelty. The research shows the following results, fluency of students with high mathematical abilities is the students who could find variety answers in open endedproblems correctly, students could find different yet correct ways and also students could find different ways to find the area and finding the height of a square from another known. From that result, student with high mathematics ability full filled three indicators of creative thinking which are fluency, flexibility and novelty. The result of student with average mathematics ability will be described as student could find variety answers in a square questions correctly and student could find variety ways in every correct answers. From that result student full filled two indicators which are fluency and flexibility. The result of student with low mathematic ability was described as student could find variety answers in open ended problem correctly andalso student could find variety ways correctly. From that result student full filled two creative thinking indicators which are fluency and flexibility.
