Proses Berpikir Kreatif Siswa SMP dalam Memecahkan Masalah Matematika Ditinjau dari Tipe Kepribadian rational dan Guardian

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir kreatif siswa dengan tipe kepribadian Rational dan Guardian yang dilakukan di MTsN Model Trenggalek dalam memecahkan masalah dengan materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel berdasarkan proses berpikir kreatif tahapan Wallas. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan metode pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian dipilih 2 anak yang memenuhi kriteria yang diinginkan dari siswa kelas VIII-J berjumlah 34 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) proses berpikir kreatif siswa dengan tipe rational, (a) pada tahap preparasi diawali dengan membaca soal yang diberikan secara perlahan untuk memahami apa yang ada didalam soal tetapi siswa tipe rational ini tidak memiliki alternatif cara lain. (b) Pada tahap inkubasi siswa mengendapkan informasi dari soal dengan berhenti sejenak dari kegiatannya mengerjakan soal dan melakukan hal lain. Ketika berhenti mengerjakan soal siswa banyak melakukan gerakan atau aktivitas fisik. (c) Pada tahap iluminasi siswa berhasil menemukan ide untuk mengerjakan soal yang belum ia selesaikan, siswa juga mampu mengembangkan ide tersebut untuk menjawab soal lainnya dengan baik. (d) Pada tahap verifikasi terlihat bahwa siswa menerapkan cara yang ia peroleh dari ide awalnya dalam mengerjakan soal dan melakukan pemeriksaan kembali jawabannya. (2) proses berpikir kreatif siswa dengan tipe guardian, (a) diawali dengan siswa melakukan kegiatan membaca soal kemudian siswa mencoba memahami soal tersebut. Pada tahap ini siswa memikirkan cara lain terkait dengan pengerjaan soal tetapi cara tersebut tidak ia gunakan. (b) Pada tahap inkubasi siswa melakukan kegiatan mengendapkan informasi, siswa berhenti dari kegiatannya mengerjakan soal tetapi siswa tipe ini tidak banyak melakukan gerakan atau aktivitas fisik dan hanhya mengamati keadaan sekitar. (c) Pada tahap iluminasi siswa berhasil menemukan ide untuk mengerjakan soal. (d) Pada tahap verifikasi terlihat bahwa siswa menerapkan ide awalnya dalam mengerjakan soal serta melakukan pengecekan kembali terhadap jawabannya.

Abstract

The purposes of this study is to describe the process of creative thinking students in MTsN Model Trenggalek who have personality type rational and guardian to solve mathematics problem in system of two variable linear equation. The stages of creative thinking process used in this study are the stages of Wallas. This research is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data collection methods used in this study were by tests and interviews. The subjects in this study are two students which has been choosen accordingly to the desired criteria from 34 students in class VIII-J. The result showed that the procces of creative thinking on : (1) students which rational personality type, (a) the preparation start by students reading the task slowly to understand what’s in the problem but in this stage, students only think one alternative way to solve the problem. (b) the incubation, students settle the information by pausing her activities on their task and doing other things. While students pause her activities on the task, students do a lot of physical movement (c) the ilumination, students managed to find the ideas for solving the problems that have not been resolved, the students can also develop that idea to answer other questions. (d) the verification, students use the initial idea to solve the problem and re-check the answer. (2) students which guardian personality type, (a) the preparation start by students reading the questions then trying to understand the problem. In this stage students also thinking about other alternatives to solve the problem. (b) the incubation, students settle the information by pausing their activities on their task and just observing the surroundings. The students of this type didn’t do a lot of physical movement like the other type (c) the ilumination, students managed to find the ideas for solving the problems.(d) the verification, students use the initial idea to solve the problem and re-examine the answers that has been written.
