Aktivis Greenpeace Terhadap Deforestasi Di Blogosphere Indonesia

Abstract

This research aimed to study about Twitter blogosphere in virtual reality establishment towards deforestation
statement by minister of environment and forestry. Minister of environment and forestry statement has been provoked public
discussion over the prominence of deforestation enforcement. Deforestation became one of the paces for realization of country
development. Public discussion within blogosphere has been resurrect by replication of Greenpeace Indonesia account to
minister’s statement. This research had been applying qualitative 2.0 methods with hacking analysis approach. The results have
found that blogosphere can build virtual reality through active involvement of blogger/netter. The establishment of virtual reality
about deforestation issue are generating 3 virtual behaviors; (1) jargon file about agrarian conflict, environmental crisis, and
green economy; (2) blogging behaviors such as anonymity, likes, comment, and user’s retweet; (3) Non-discursive construction on
aggregation algorithm (hashtag, followers, hyperlink, and wall). Virtual behaviors had been merged public opinion within
development resistance through deforestation policies. This research also show blogosphere winning about environment activism
by public and Greenpeace Indonesia. The government has been indicating attention towards reduction of carbon emission
implications with sustainable energy technology development.
