This study analyzes the formation of social acceptance of homosexual identity through self-disclosure practices on TikTok by positioning digital interactions as an arena for the production and negotiation of meaning with the aim of 1. Interpreting how homosexual identity is performed 2. Analyzing the form of audience response to homosexual self-disclosure content in TikTok comment spaces. 3. Identifying social conditions and platform factors that shape patterns of social acceptance of homosexual identity on TikTok. A qualitative approach with a Digital Grounded Theory design is used to examine digital traces in the form of videos, captions, and comments as interrelated units of analysis. The analysis is conducted through multilevel coding using the framework of Queer Theory, Erving Goffman's Stigma Theory, and Stuart Hall's Reception Theory to read identity construction and variations in audience responses. The results show that homosexual identity is constructed performatively through a gradual narrative that includes phases of awareness, exploration, verification, and openness. This process represents identity as a construction that is continuously negotiated through representational practices. After being published, identity undergoes reinterpretation through audience responses that are classified into three main patterns: dominant readings, negotiated readings, and oppositional readings. These variations reflect interpretive processes influenced by the audience's experiences, values, and social frameworks. Patterns of social acceptance are shaped by the composition and dominance of responses in the comment section. Heteronormative norms, religious values, and stigma serve as evaluative frameworks, while TikTok's algorithmic mechanisms mediate content distribution through the intensity of interactions.
