Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi lama penyimpanan umbi bengkuang
terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan aktivitas enzim amilase duodenum hewan coba. Digunakan desain The
Post Tes Only Control Group. Bengkuang disimpan dengan variasi waktu 1(P1),14 (P2) dan 28 hari (P3).
Rattus norvegicus dibagi dalam empat kelompok ( K sebagai kontrol dan P1,P2,P3) dengan lama perlakuan
50 hari dan variable yang diamati kadar glukosa darah dan aktivitas enzim amilase duodenum. Data
dianalisis melalui ANOVA satu arah (α = 0,05). Hasil penelitian, ada pengaruh variasi lama penyimpanan
bengkuang terhadap kadar glukosa darah hewan coba dengan rerata K, P1, P2, P3 adalah 126,4, 129,
124,161.6 (mg / dL), juga pada aktivitas enzim amilase di duodenum hewan coba dengan rerata K, P1, P2,
P3 adalah 00:08, 00:04, 00:07 00:10 unit.

Abstract.The aim of this research was describe the effect of storage time variations of jicama’s tuber on
blood glucose levels and duodenal amylase enzyme activity. Research design used The Post Test Only
Control Group. Storage time variations of jicama were 1(P1),14 (P2) and 28 day (P3). Rattus norvegicus
divided into four groups ( K as control and P1,P2,P3). After given feed for 50 days, observed for blood
glucose data and duodenal amylase enzyme activity. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA (α = 0.05).
Results: there was effect of storage time variation of jicama for animal blood glucose levels with a mean of
data K, P1 , P2, and P3 are 126.4, 129, 124, and 161.6 (mg / dL), and amylase enzyme activity in the
duodenum of experimental animals with the data mean K, P1, P2, and P3 are 00:08, 00:04, 00:07 00:10
unit.
