Abstract
Currently the whole world is experiencing a condition where the COVID-19 virus pandemic is spreading so fast that a new policy is needed to be active from home. The learning process is also carried out at home to avoid activities that cause crowds. Rapid changes in learning activities when conditions are unstable can be one of the factors causing stress for students. Talking about the condition of each student may not be the same, this depends on his confidence to face the existing problems or can be called self-efficacy. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic stress in college students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative method where the subject used is 150 grade 10 students. In the process of collecting data using cluster sampling technique, the scale used is the self-efficacy scale and the academic stress scale. In the process of data analysis using Pearson's product moment method to find the relationship between the two variables. The results of data analysis showed that there was a relationship between self-efficacy and academic stress, with a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.531 (r=0.531). Where when academic stress increases, self-efficacy also increases, and vice versa when academic stress decreases, self-efficacy also decreases.
