Self-Compassion pada Mahasiswa dengan Pengalaman Bullying

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi peran self-compassion dalam membantu mahasiswa yang pernah mengalami bullying untuk tetap kuat dan memiliki rasa kasih sayang pada diri mereka sendiri. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dan teknik purposive sampling, penulis memilih 3 partisipan yang memiliki kriteria sebagai mahasiswa aktif yang pernah mengalami perundungan. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa ketiga subjek memiliki cara yang berbeda untuk menerapkan self-compassion, yaitu melalui self-kindness, common humanity, dan mindfulness. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa self-compassion dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis dan mengurangi perasaan negatif yang timbul dari pengalaman bullying.
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the role of self-compassion in helping college students who have experienced bullying to remain resilient and maintain self-love. Using a qualitative research design and purposive sampling technique, the author selected 3 participants who met the criteria as active students who had experienced bullying. The results of the interviews showed that the three subjects had different ways of applying self-compassion, namely through self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness. This study also shows that self-compassion can improve psychological well-being and reduce negative feelings arising from bullying experiences.
