PENERAPAN MODEL LEARNING CYCLE 7-E UNTUK MELATIHKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS (KPS) PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATERI ASAM BASA DI SMA NEGERI JOGOROTO

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan dan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik setelah dilaksanakan pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7-E untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains pada materi asam basa. Subyek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri Jogoroto. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental dan menggunakan rancangan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7-E, lembar pengamatan aktivitas peserta didik dan lembar soal tes keterampilan proses sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Persentase keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7-E pada fase 1 sampai 7 berturut-turut sebesar 93,75%; 100%; 100%; 93,75%; 93,75%; 81,25% dan 75% dengan kategori sangat baik dan baik. (2) Keterampilan proses sains peserta didik berhasil dilatihkan dengan adanya peningkatan test yang dilihat melalui nilai gain pada indikator mengamati sebesar 1,0 (tinggi), indikator merumuskan hipotesis sebesar 0,9 (tinggi), indikator merancang percobaan sebesar 0,7 (tinggi), indikator menafsirkan sebesar 0,8 (tinggi), dan indikator mengklasifikasi sebesar 0,8 (tinggi).

The aim of this research is to describe the implementation and science process skills of students after Learning Cycle 7-E is done to train the science process skill on acid-base material. Subjects used in this research were students of class XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri Jogoroto. The type of research is pre-experimental and used One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The instruments used include observation sheets of implementation Learning Cycle 7-E, observation sheet of student’s activity and test sheets of science process skills. The results of research obtained (1) the percentage of implementation of Learning Cycle 7-E model in phases 1 to 7 respectively 93.75%; 100%; 100%; 93.75%; 93.75%; 81.25% and 75% with very good and good categories. (2) The student science process skills can be trained by improvement of science process test is seen by gain score at observation indicator was 1,0 (high category), formulating hypotheses was 0,9(high category), designing experiments was 0,7 (high category), interpretation indicator was 0,8 (high category) and classification indicator was 0,8 (high category).
