Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Gizi Dengan Demensia Pada Pra-Lansia Di Kecamatan Sukomanunggal, Kota Surabaya

Demensia merupakan sindrom klinis progresif yang dicirikan dengan adanya gangguan beberapa fungsi kognitif, seperti kehilangan ingatan jangka pendek dan jangka panjang, berpikir, menilai, mengorientasi, perhitungan, kemampuan belajar, perubahan kepribadian, serta gangguan kemampuan dan keterampilan motorik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan gizi dengan demensia pada pra-lansia di Kecamatan Sukomanunggal Kota Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan cross-sectional dengan teknik purposive sampling dan didapatkan sampel 70 responden pra-lansia yang berusia 45-59 tahun di Kecamatan Sukomanunggal Kota Surabaya. Pengambilan data pengetahuan gizi menggunakan tes pengetahuan gizi, dan skrining demensia menggunakan kuesioner Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE). Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji rank spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan gizi dengan demensia pada pra-lansia di Kecamatan Sukomanunggal Kota Surabaya (p-value = 0,155). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan kepada masyarakat, khususnya pra-lansia, untuk dapat menerapkan informasi atau ilmu yang telah diketahui mengenai gizi pada kehidupan sehari-hari.
