INTEGRASI PEMIKIRAN KAWRUH JIWA KI AGENG SURYOMENTARAM DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Pendidikan dan pembelajaran IPS yang ideal merupakan sebuah keniscayaan. Sejak bergemingnya Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (IKM), gagasan untuk mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran mulai mencuat kembali sebagai sarana pengembangan dan mengatasi permasalahan pendidikan maupun pembelajaran IPS. Permasalahan yang menjadi sorotan dalam pembelajaran IPS adalah rendahnya performa diri siswa, yang disebabkan karena adanya ketidakseimbangan dalam proses pembelajaran IPS, serta kurangnya variasi dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan inovasi dalam pengembangan pendidikan dan pembelajaran IPS yang dalam penelitian ini, pemikiran filsafat Kawruh Jiwa Ki Ageng Suryomentaram menjadi fokus integrasi. Hanya ada sedikit penelitian yang berfokus pada integrasi pembelajaran IPS yang menggabungkan unsur Kawruh Jiwa sebagai pengembangan pendidikan dan pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) memahami relevansi pemikiran Kawruh Jiwa Ki Ageng dengan filsafat pendidikan modern sebagai landasan kurikulum pendidikan IPS, (2) mengetahui integrasi pemikiran Kawruh Jiwa Ki Ageng dalam pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi dokumen/teks. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah sumber primer dan sumber sekunder. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan beberapa teknik seperti literature review, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Serta untuk keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teori Adapun hasil penelitian ini mendapati bahwa Kawruh Jiwa memiliki relevansi dengan semua landasan filsafat pendidikan modern termasuk filsafat Ki Hajar Dewantara, serta Kawruh Jiwa juga dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran IPS, baik sebagai sarana perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran (integrasi pada model, metode, strategi), hingga evaluasi pembelajaran.

 

ABSTRACT

The necessity for ideal social studies education and learning is indisputable. Following the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum (IKM), the concept of integrating local wisdom in learning has resurfaced as a strategy to address and overcome challenges in social studies education and learning. A salient issue in social studies education and learning is the underperformance of students, attributable to an imbalance in the learning process and a paucity of variety in teaching methods. This necessitates a paradigm shift towards innovation in the development of social studies education and learning. In this study, the concept of Kawruh Jiwa philosophy, as propounded by Ki Ageng Suryomentaram, is posited as a pivotal integrative framework. The paucity of research in this area is evident in the dearth of studies that integrate Kawruh Jiwa elements into the development of social studies education and learning. The present study aims to (1) understand the relevance of Ki Ageng's Kawruh Jiwa thinking with modern educational philosophy as the foundation of the social studies education curriculum, and (2) know the integration of Ki Ageng's Kawruh Jiwa thinking in social studies learning. The present study employs a qualitative research methodology, adopting a document/text study approach. The research utilises both primary and secondary sources as data sources. Data collection techniques employed include literature review, documentation, and in-depth interviews. The analysis of the data was conducted using interactive data analysis techniques proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that Kawruh Jiwa is pertinent to all the foundations of modern educational philosophy, including the philosophy of Ki Hajar Dewantara. Furthermore, Kawruh Jiwa can be integrated into social studies learning, both as a means of learning planning, learning implementation (integration of models, methods, strategies), and learning evaluation.
