Abstract

Plague that struck residents in Praja Mangkunegaran a disease that was originally derived from the regionof East Java, and then transmitted to the Praja Mangkunegaran to be brought by a resident of the Netherlands who was found dead on the train that took him from the sugar cane plantations in East Java Pasuruan . Plague is spreading faster due to a lack of neighborhood residents Mangkunegaran clean and healthy, as many houses are still made of bamboo and thatched straw / reed that causes bubonic plague is difficult to remove. In dealing with outbreaks of bubonic plague, the government established the Office of Public Health (Burgerlijk Geneeskundige Dienst, (BGD) and then expanded to the Department of Public Health (Dienst der Volks Gezonheid, (DVG) in 1925 by the Dutch Government. Mangkunegara VII seeks to improve conditions homes that are not considered eligible for repair. addition to providing loans for home improvements, the government is also trying to establish in Mangkubumen Zending Hospital and health clinics in Praja Mangkunegaran. addition, Mangkunegara VII also inculcate the culture of healthy living and clean to the Praja Mangkunegaran , in order to cope with this plague does not arise again.
