PERKEMBANGAN INDUSTRI TAHU DI DESA TROPODO KECAMATAN KRIAN KABUPATEN SIDOARJO TAHUN 1970-2000

Abstract

This Objectives of this study were (1) To analyze the development of small tofu industry in Tropodo Village, Krian District, Sidoarjo Regency in 1970-2000, (2) To analyze the contribution of small tofu industry to the local economy in 1970-2000. The research method used uses the historical research method, which of 4 stages: First Heuristics, namely collection of sources obtained from the Sidoarjo Regency Industry and Trade Service, Sidoarjo Regency Statistics Center, Tropodo Village Head Office, books, theses, scientific journals, and interviews with several sources. Second Source Criticism, namely conducting a process of criticism or testing the truth of the sources that have been obtained. Third Interpretation, namely carrying out the process of interpreting the source or historical facts obtained. Fourth Historiography, namely carrying out the process of writing or reporting the final results of the research, starting from the planning phase to drawing conclusions. Based on research and analysis of several sources, the result showed that the Tropodo Village tofu industry from 1970-2000 experienced much better development, both in terms of capital, raw materials, labor, production equipment, demand, and marketing. Then the presence of this tofu industry contributes a lot to the people of Tropodo Village, both from a social and economic perspective, including: providing a change in a more advanced mindset, opening up employment increasing income, and encouraging the creation of welfare for the Tropodo Village community.
