PERKEMBANGAN PERUM JASA TIRTA MALANG TAHUN 1990-1999

Abstract

Water is a very important element for life on earth. Water is a basic human need. Water is a very important need today. So there is a need for management, preservation of water infrastructure, both drinking water and raw water. some areas are difficult to get water. This requires managers who cannot be separated from the policies regulated by the government. The formulation of the problems discussed in this article are (1) How is the development of Perum Jasa Tirta Malang from 1990 to 1999 (2) How is the socio-economic contribution of Perum Jasa Tirta to the people of Malang. Then this studyaims to describe and analyze the development of Perum Jasa Tirta based in Malang and its contribution to the people of Malang. Perum Jasa Tirta is a State-Owned Enterprise which is also the initiator of the construction of water infrastructure facilities. Perum Jasa Tirta since 1980, which has collaborated with now PT Brantas Abipraya and PU to manage independently and even issued renewable energy innovations to become Perum Jasa Tirta 1.
This study uses historical research methods with four stages, namely the heuristic stage carried out by collecting sources that support research in the form of contemporaneous data and secondary data, namely books, the next stage is internal criticism by assessing the relevance of the sources obtained, the third stage is interpretation by seeking The relationship between facts then analyzes it and the fourth stage is historiography, which is presenting the research results in written form.
Based on the results of the analysis of the data and sources obtained, it is found that Perum Jasa Tirta Malang continues to experience improvements in its management so that it can advance the service activities of the water sector. The development of water management is given full responsibility to Perum Jasa Tirta with all the innovations and programs developed. Perum Jasa Tirta Malang is a State-Owned Enterprise which currently manages waters and river areas in East Java and Malang as its center. Jasa Tirta has an important meaning for the economy in Malang, namely capital facilitators and programs that provide water services for the community to develop their business, not only that, Tirta services provide a social impact on the community in the management area, namely the need for clean water provided, and infrastructure services. raw water so as to ensure safety for the community against water problems, both industrial and flood disaster.
