Abstract

The research entitled "Bung Tomo's Actions from the Pursuit of the Dutch Troops in East Java and His Struggle Strategy 1945-1947" aims to reveal the actions taken by Bung Tomo to avoid the Dutch pursuit in order to defend the independence revolution of the Republic of Indonesia in the period 1945-1947. To avoid this, Bung Tomo planned a secret journey so that the enemy would not know. This research is important to complete the story of Bung Tomo's heroic struggle with a colleague named Amad based on direct information by Amad as a resource for this research. This research is descriptive-analytic with the method of interviewing one of the struggle shops who participated in accompanying Bung Tomo to avoid being chased by the Dutch troops. The topic of this research discusses the reasons behind the Dutch searching for Bung Tomo, Bung Tomo's actions to avoid Dutch pursuit, and Bung Tomo's struggle in the revolutionary war of independence after his return to the Barisan Pemberontakan Rakyat Indonesia (BPRI). From the results of this study, it is known that the Dutch conducted a search for Bung Tomo because the Dutch felt that Bung Tomo's propaganda was very disturbing. To avoid the pursuit of the Dutch, Bung Tomo traveled secretly in order to avoid the pursuit of the Dutch. Until the beginnging of 1947 to 1949, Bung Tomo fought again by igniting the spirit of the Indonesian people to jointly safeguard the independence of the Indonesian Revolution.
