BAHASA INDONESIA DAN MANIFESTO POLITIK PERHIMPUNAN INDONESIA 1925 SEBAGAI DASAR PERSATUAN KAUM INTELEKTUAL INDONESIA TAHUN 1925 – 1928

Abstract

The unity of Indonesian intellectuals did not just happen at the start of the national movement in 1908. The pattern of struggle in classical Indonesia that runs regional struggles is still inherited in the modern round of national struggle in the early XX century. Therefore, the focus of this scientific article is to examine the factors of the group of young Indonesian intellectuals who brought a pattern of unity in the struggle against Dutch colonialism. urgency towards the unity of all Indonesian people was then expressed by the Indonesian Society through its new principles that declared in 1925. This principle is then known as a Political Manifesto of the Indonesian Society (PI). In the manifesto there are still shortcomings, namely the lack of variables that are able to bring unity. Bahasa Indonesia was then examined as a complement of Political Manifesto of PI in the 1925 as the only result of the 1928 Second Youth Congress which has a form and can be researched. The involvement of the Indonesian language is very rare to be studied as an object that affect the rate of the process of unity until independence, for that reason this research will discuss about. , 1) How the manifesto of thepolitical PI 1925 capable of changing the view point on society of Bumiputra related Dutch colonial?, 2) How is the corelation between the manipol PI 1925 with Indonesian language?, 3) How the Indonesian language could have changed the mindset and behavior of intellectuals in preparation of the Indonesia as a nation?. This research uses a heuristic method, source criticism, interpretation and historiography which is limited to the analysis of the sources that has been obtained in the process of filing a scientific article today. Meanwhile, in this study there are results that in embodiment of unity, Bahasa Indonesia and Pi Political Manifesto are two important factors in the realization of the unity of Indonesian intellectuals.
