Abstract

Differences in interpretation of the contents of the Linggajati agreement caused the Dutch to carry out military aggression against Indonesia which led to Indonesia's struggle through various struggles to maintain independence. It is no exception for the people's stubborn struggle to defend independence during military aggression. 2. Maintaining Indonesia's independence is the responsibility of all Indonesian people. The role of the people in defending the independence of the Republic of Indonesia is no exception. This research has three problem formulations to be discussed, namely 1. What is the background of the Nganjuk people in defending independence in the Dutch military aggression 2? 2. How was the struggle of the Nganjuk people in defending independence during the Dutch military aggression 2 against the struggle for Indonesian independence? 3. How was the impact of the Nganjuk people's struggle in defending independence on the Dutch military aggression 2? The purpose of this study was to find out how the process of the people's struggle during the Second Dutch Military Aggression in 1949 in Nganjuk. The data collection technique used interviews, literature and documentation techniques, while to analyze the data used qualitative data analysis. in this study is a historical research method (history research). The steps taken in this research process include topic selection, heuristics (collection of sources), criticism, interpretation and historiography. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded as follows: the Armistice Agreement, the existence of resistance that caused the main road access to Kertosono-Baron to be cut off, besides that the TNI was still recognized and respected by the TNI in defending Indonesian independence.
