Traditional markets have an essential position as a place for the social and economic interaction of the community. One of the interesting markets to study is the Porong Sidoarjo market because of its history and socio-economic pattern. This research is focused on revealing the conflicts that occurred among chicken traders from 2008 to 2020. The existing background led the authors to examine the conditions related to the development of chicken traders in the Porong Market between 2008-2020. This is done to understand the pattern of trade changes that are formed from several conflicts that have been faced by chicken traders, especially to continue to exist. This study uses historical research methods. The results of the research stated that there were two socio-economic interactions carried out by chicken traders, namely traders with traders and traders with consumers. In addition, the conflicts experienced by chicken traders also led to interactions with market managers. In this settlement, chicken traders tend to have the attitude of leaving conflict resolution to the government. At the same time, as a form of solidarity, they occasionally voice their opinions to market managers through demonstrations. It can be concluded in this study that what makes chicken traders in the Porong market still exist and survive is the pattern of solidarity that is formed and the change of traders with a high level of distribution.
