Abstract

This study aims to create and produce LKPD designs based on needs where this research departs from conditions that are still not optimal in the achievement of students' critical thinking skills in history learning activities contained in LKPD. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) research. The development model used is the development model according to Thiagarajan. The stages of development research proposed by Thiagarajan consist of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. In this development research that is used only up to the third stage, namely develop (development). The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis. Data collection was obtained through validation results and product feasibility studies, observation of student activities, pretest and posttest results with N-Gain analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study show that: (1) The feasibility of LKPD in terms of the content aspect shows a percentage of 80.0%. viewed from the aspect of language by 73.3%. in terms of the presentation aspect shows a percentage of 76.6%. (2) The results of the N-gain score test showed a score of 67.6% which showed the effectiveness of Problem Solving-based worksheets to train critical thinking skills included in the moderate category (3) The results of the student response questionnaire showed a score of 85% in the very good category. From these results it can be seen that the development of problem solving-based worksheets is categorized as quite effective for training students' critical thinking skills.
