Abstract

Tuban Regency is a district in East Java which has the potential to encourage the emergence of mining material burning activities so as to change most of the people's livelihoods from the agricultural sector to the mining sector. The lime kiln factory, one of which processes limestone into building materials, is a regional company which was then transferred to the management of the Tuban district government.
Based on this research using a research methodology consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The sources obtained consist of primary sources and secondary sources. The primary sources obtained were official letters and interviews related to factory activities issued by the regional government of Tuban district. While the secondary sources are books and newspapers related to the activities of the Tuban lime factory.
Based on research, the establishment of a lime kiln factory can create jobs for the community, so that in 1990 the lime kiln factory was moved because it really triggered conflicts between the lime factory and the community environment.
