PERKEMBANGAN WISATA BAHARI LAMONGAN DI KABUPATEN LAMONGAN TAHUN 2004 – 2020

Abstract

The development of the tourism industry has a major impact on regions, especially those that have potential in the tourism sector. Tourism is able to provide a multiplier effect that benefits the regional economy. East Java Province has abundant tourism potential, such as marine tourism, natural tourism, religious tourism and man-made tourism. An area in East Java that has tourism and cultural potential that is well known to tourists, namely Lamongan Regency. The tourist object that has become the icon of Lamongan Regency is Lamongan Marine Tourism. Tourism is an investment made by the Lamongan Regency Government to maximize regional potential.
This research discusses (1) How is the development of Lamongan Marine Tourism in 2004 – 2020? (2) What is the impact of Lamongan Marine Tourism on the surrounding community? The research method used is the historical research method. The stages of the historical research method include heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study indicate that Lamongan Marine Tourism has had an influence on the development of tourism in Lamongan Regency in 2004 – 2020. Lamongan Marine Tourism is the main destination for domestic and foreign tourists in East Java. Tourist objects located in Paciran District, which is in the coastal area of Lamongan, are able to become the largest contributor to Regional Original Revenue. Lamongan Marine Tourism is able to have an impact on the surrounding community, such as opening jobs, increasing people's income, the kupatan tradition is a regional agenda.
