DINAMIKA RED SIDER DALAM BELANTIKA MUSIK ROCK DI SURABAYA TAHUN 1987 – 2016

Abstract

Surabaya is one of the big cities that quickly responded to the development of rock music, the youth amusement park became one of the birthplaces of rock bands in the 60-70s. In the 1980s many bands emerged in Surabaya such as kamikaze, andromedha, power metal and Red Spider. Red Spider was founded in 1987 and immediately released its first album entitled Harapan Yang Hilang. this research examines (1) How Red Spider's influence on its fans. descriptive qualitative research using historical research methods by collecting sources with relevant data, through source criticism, interpreting sources with the style obtained, and rewriting using the historiography method in the form of factual and chronological descriptions. The results of this study show that Red Spider began to shift the theme of their albums and songs. They began to include religious verses so that it seemed like proselytizing by making music. That is what distinguishes Red Spider from other rock music groups. Each album contains songs that are very relate to the life that is going on around us. This also affects Red Spider's fans, where initially their fanbase was nicknamed "Anak Liar" but because Red Spider began to include religious lyrics, it became a joke call with the name of their fans as "Anak Liar Yang Sholeh".
