PENGARUH JOKO WIDODO TERHADAP PEROLEHAN SUARA PDIP DI PILEG DPRD KABUPATEN KEDIRI DAPIL 2 TAHUN 2014 - 2019

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Joko Widodo on the vote acquisition of PDIP in the Legislative
Election (Pileg) for the DPRD of Kediri Regency, electoral district (dapil) 2, during the 2014-2019 period. This
research discusses how Joko Widodo influences the vote acquisition of PDIP in the Pileg for DPRD of Kediri Regency,
dapil 2, in 2014-2019, and why Joko Widodo influences the vote acquisition of PDIP in the Pileg for DPRD of Kediri
Regency, dapil 2, in 2014-2019. The method used is the historical research method, which includes heuristic (source
collection), source criticism (external and internal criticism), interpretation (data interpretation), and historiography
(historical writing). Primary data were obtained from interviews with legislative candidates and campaign teams, while
secondary data were derived from official documents and relevant literature. The results of the study show that Joko
Widodo's influence is significant in increasing PDIP's vote acquisition in Kediri Regency, dapil 2. The public
enthusiasm for Joko Widodo, who ran for president in the 2014 and 2019 elections, had a positive effect on PDIP,
particularly in campaign efforts and support mobilization. Factors such as his cosmopolitan and innovative personality,
and his ability to connect with the people, further strengthened support for PDIP. This study is expected to contribute to
the understanding of local political dynamics and the role of national figures in influencing regional election outcomes.
