DAMPAK SOSIAL EKONOMI MASYARAKAT PASCA REVITALISASI AREA PENDUKUNG MAKAM SUNAN GIRI TAHUN 2012-2014

Abstract

The Sunan Giri tomb complex is a cultural heritage complex whose buildings must be preserved. Therefore,
restoration is needed to maintain and preserve the cultural heritage buildings in the Sunan Giri tomb complex. To arrange
the Sunan Giri grave complex, revitalization was carried out which was initiated by the Gresik district government
represented by the deputy regent for the 2010-2015 period, namely DR. H. Mochammad Qosim, M.Sc. The revitalization
was carried out as an effort to maintain the religious aspects of Sunan Giri and the sacred aspects of Sunan Giri's grave,
because many traders occupy the stairwells leading to Sunan Giri's grave. The aims of this research are (1) What is
Sunan Giri's life history? (2) What is the background to the revitalization of the supporting area for the Sunan Giri Tomb
and what is the process of revitalizing the supporting area for the Sunan Giri grave? (3) What is the socio-economic
impact of the community after the revitalization? The methods used in this research consist of heuristics, source criticism,
interpretation, and heuristics. The results of this research explain that the revitalization of the Sunan Giri tomb complex,
which was carried out from 21 May 2012 to 09 June 2013, had an impact on the socio-economic sector of the Giri
community. The economic impact occurred especially for traders in the tomb complex, who were initially on the stairs
and were relocated to the stand. provided, traders who were relocated to the stands that had been provided began
operating on September 9 2014. In the first year their income experienced a decline, then gradually stabilized in the
following year. The post-revitalization social impact is the formation of the Bintang Giri community, the existence of an
open-close system by traders, and the guardian pilgrimage tour being held every year using cash from Bumdes Bintang
