EKSISTENSI KOMUNITAS SEJARAH DALAM MELESTARIKAN SEJARAH LOKAL SURABAYA TAHUN 2010-2020

Abstract

This research discusses the Roode Brug Soerabaia, Surabaya Historical Community and Begandring Soerabaia
which are engaged in preserving the local history of the city of Surabaya. In their founding, these communities faced
many challenges and support from various parties which could influence their existence. This research aims to discuss
how this historical community can grow in the city of Surabaya, what is the background, values and roles played and the
existence of the community in preserving the local history of the city of Surabaya. This research uses historical research
methods, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The research results show that the Roode Brug
Soerabaia, Surabaya Historical Community and Begandring Soerabaia communities still exist in preserving the local
history of the city of Surabaya. This existence is proven by the community's activeness in activities, such as historical
education using digital media, historical discussions both in person and online, historical tourism, reenactment of
historical events, publishing historical books, appreciation activities for historical figures, advocacy activities related to
historical buildings. and collaborative activities with other communities.
