TRADISI GERAK JALAN PERJUANGAN (GJP) MOJOSURO (MOJOKERTO?SURABAYA) TAHUN 2006-2019
Abstract
The battle of 10 November has a very strong history in the people of Surabaya, Sidoarjo and Mojokerto, therefore
in 1955 the East Java Provincial Government held an annual activity, namely the Mojosuro Street Movement every
November. The Mojosuro Street Movement has become an art from tradition to the national realm with various
innovations to preserve traditions. From this background, new research emerged entitled "Tradition of the Mojosuro
Struggle Movement (GJP) (Mojokerto-Surabaya) 2006-2019", with the research objectives: (1) Understanding the
background to the implementation of the Mojosuro Struggle Tradition (Mojokerto-Surabaya) Movement Tradition
Struggle (GJP) in 1955, (2) Analyze the development of the Mojosuro Struggle Movement (GJP) Tradition (Mojokerto?Surabaya) in 2006-2019, (3) Analyze the impact of the Mojosuro Struggle Movement (GJP) tradition (Mojokerto?Surabaya) in the economic aspect , social and cultural in society. This research uses historical research methods
consisting of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, historiography. The results of the research show that the
Mojosuro Street Movement changed its name to the Mojosuro Struggle Movement (GJP) (Mojokerto-Surabaya) which
was organized by the East Java Provincial Youth and Sports Service and carried out from Mojokerto Square to the
Surabaya Heroes Monument. In 2008, the East Java Provincial Youth and Sports Department, in collaboration with Kosti
Jatim, held Bicycle Juang as the opening of a walking event which was still in line with the aim of the Jalan Perjuangan
event, namely raising the banner of sport for the community. with the values of struggle. Collaborative relations were
also carried out in 2017 with the Red and White Solidarity Team, where a 178.45 meter long Red and White Flag Carnival
was held. The collaboration carried out by related parties resulted in an increase in the number of participants, a different
registration system, as well as an increase in winner categories and prizes. The traditions of the Mojosuro Struggle
Movement (GJP) (Mojokerto-Surabaya) are able to have an economic, social and cultural impact on society.
