Pola asuh ialah sikap dan perilaku orang tua untuk berinteraksi, membimbing, dan membina anak. Sedangkan sibling rivalry ialah fenomena persaingan yang terjadi pada hubungan saudara. Penelitian ini mengungkap hubungan yang terjadi antara pola asuh dan sibling rivalry pada remaja dengan jenis kelamin sebagai variabel moderator. Pendekatan dengan metode kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengungkap hubungan tersebut. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 103 siswa SMA N 1 Tuban yang mencakup 83 perempuan dan 20 laki-laki. Pengolahan data dengan teknik analisis regresi berganda yang dilakukan mendapatkan hasil nilai korelasi sebesar 0,307 (R=0,307) dan nilai signifikansi yaitu 0,020 (p < 0,05). Sehingga kesimpulannya adalah terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh dan sibling rivalry pada remaja dengan jenis kelamin sebagai variabel moderator. Terdapat kenaikan nilai adjusted R square sebesar 1 % yang menunjukkan bahwa peran variabel jenis kelamin sebagai moderator yaitu memberikan kekuatan hubungan antara pola asuh dan sibling rivalry pada remaja.

Abstract

Parenting is the attitude and behavior of parents to interact, guide, and foster children. While sibling rivalry is a phenomenon of competition that occurs in sibling relationships. This study reveals the relationship that occurs between parenting and sibling rivalry in adolescents with gender as a moderating variable. Approach with quantitative method is used to reveal this relationship. The subjects in this study were 103 students of SMA N 1 Tuban which included 83 women and 20 men. Data processing with multiple regression analysis technique was carried out to obtain a correlation value of 0.307 (R = 0.307) and a significance value of 0.020 (p < 0.05). So the conclusion is that there is a relationship between parenting and sibling rivalry in adolescents with gender as a moderating variable. There is an increase in the adjusted R square value of 1% which indicates that the role of the sex variable as a moderator is to provide a strong relationship between parenting and sibling rivalry in adolescents.
