HUBUNGAN ANTARA SELF-ESTEEM DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA DI SMA X

Abstrak
Kemampuan siswa dalam mengenali dirinya disebut sebagai harga diri atau self-esteem. Self-esteem merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa. Peneliti ingin meneliti lebih jauh mengenai prestasi belajar siswa yang kemudian ditinjau dari self-esteem siswa selama kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan jarak jauh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencari tahu ada tidaknya hubungan antara kemampuan siswa dalam menghargai dirinya atau self-esteem dengan prestasi belajar siswa pada saat pembelajaran jarak jauh berlangsung. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA X Surabaya dan melibatkan sejumlah 132 siswa kelas XI sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik analisis yang kemudian digunakan adalah menggunakan teknik analisis Pearson Product Moment yang gunanya mencari ada atau tidaknya hubungan antara kedua variabel satu dengan variabel yang lainnya, yang kemudian memperoleh hasil sebesar 0,368. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara self-esteem dengan prestasi belajar siswa di SMA X. Siswa yang memiliki self-esteem yang tinggi akan akan berusaha semaksimal mungkin untuk meraih prestasi belajar yang diharapkan dibandingkan siswa yang memiliki self-esteem rendah.

Abstract
The ability of students to recognize themselves is called self-esteem or self-esteem. Self-esteem is one of the factors that can affect student achievement. Researchers want to investigate further about student achievement which is then reviewed from students' self-esteem during distance learning activities. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a relationship between students' ability to respect themselves or self-esteem with student achievement during distance learning. The research was conducted at SMA X Surabaya and involved a number of 132 class XI students as research subjects. The analysis technique which is then used is the Pearson Product Moment analysis technique which is used to find out whether or not there is a relationship between the two variables, one with another variable, which then obtains a result of 0.368. The results of the study indicate that there is a relationship between self-esteem and student achievement in SMA X. Students who have high self-esteem will try their best to achieve the expected learning achievement compared to students who have low self-esteem.
