SINTESIS DAN KARAKTERISASI HIDROKSIAPATIT DARI BATU KAPUR DENGAN METODE PENGENDAPAN BASAH

Abstract

 

Abstrak. Sintesis hidroksiapatit dilakukan dengan metode pengendapan basah dari batu kapur sebagai sumber kalsium dan asam fosfat sebagai sumber fosfat. Asam fosfat ditambahkan dengan metode wise drop dan single drop. Kalsinasi batu kapur pada suhu 900°C selama 4 jam menghasilkan CaO sebesar 99,78% yang diperoleh dari uji XRF. Sintesis hidroksiapatit dengan metode wise drop menghasilkan pH 9 pada akhir penambahan asam fosfat, sedangkan metode single drop menghasilkan pH 5 pada akhir penambahan asam fosfat. Pada metode single drop terjadi penurunan pH yang signifikan dibandingkan metode wise drop. Persen hasil hidroksiapatit dengan metode wise drop lebih besar dibandingkan metode single drop. Persen hasil hidroksiapatit dengan metode wise drop sebesar 99,10%, sedangkan persen hasil hidroksiapatit dengan metode single drop sebesar 83,77%.

Abstract. Hydroxyapatite synthesis has been carried out by wet precipitation method of limestone as a source of calcium and phosphoric acid as a phosphate source. Phosphoric acid is added by the wise drop and single drop method. Calcination of limestone at 900 ° C for 4 hours resulted 99.78% of CaO obtained from the XRF test. The hydroxyapatite synthesis by the wise drop method produces pH 9 at the end of phosphoric acid addition, while the single drop method produces pH 5 at the end of the addition of phosphoric acid. In the single drop method there was a significant decrease in pH compared to the wise drop method. The percentage of hydroxyapatite with the wise drop method is greater than the single drop method. Percentage of hydroxyapatite yield using wise drop method is 99.10%, while the percentage of hydroxyapatite yield with single drop method is 83.77%.
