PERBEDAAN KONSEP DIRI PADA MAHASISWA BERDASARKAN STATUS PARTISIPASI DALAM UNIT KEGIATAN MAHASISWA (UKM) UNIVERISTAS NEGERI SURABAYA

Konsep diri merupakan suatu pengetahuan seseorang mengenal dirinya khususnya mengenai potensi, bakat dan minat dalam diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji perbedaan konsep diri pada mahasiswa yang berpartisipasi dan tidak berpartisipasi dalam Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif komparasi dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 210 mahasiswa di Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala konsep diri. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji Independent Sample T-Test (uji-t). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai signifikansi variabel konsep diri sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan konsep diri pada mahasiswa yang berpartisipasi dan tidak berpartisipasi dalam Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM).

Self-concept is knowledge someone knows themself especially about the potential, talent and interest in self. The purpose of the research was to examine difference in self-concept in students who participated and did not participate in Student Activity Unit (UKM) Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The research used quantitative research method of comparation by using sample as many as 210 students in Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Self-concept scale is used as research instrument. Technique of data analysis used in the research is Independent Sample T-Test (t-test). The result of data analysis shows the value of self concept variable significance of 0.000 (p <0,05), which means there is difference of self concept in participating students and not participate in Student Activity Unit (UKM).
