Gambaran Diri Perempuan Pengguna Second Account Instagram

Abstrak
Media sosial membawa pengaruh cukup signifikan pada kehidupan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran diri individu pada akun kedua Instagram. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan 3 partisipan dengan karakteristik perempuan berusia 18-24 tahun yang memiliki akun Instagram lebih dari satu, serta aktif menggunakannya. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa individu yang memiliki second account di Instagram merasa lebih percaya lebih percaya diri, terbuka, dan apa adanya di akun keduanya ketimbang di akun pertamanya.
Abstract
Social media influences social life significantly. This research seeks to uncover self-image of women who own second account of Instragram. It uses a case study approach. It employs semi-stuctured interviews with three women aged 18-24 years who have more than one Instagram account. The data are analyzed by thematic analysis. This research shows that women who own second Instagram feel more confidence, outspoken, and present themselves as they are in their second account than their first one.
